The ‘Supposedly’ Farewell Speech

“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.”

If  I had more time and was more prepared, this would have been the speech that I’d make during my farewell party.

Assalamualaikum & Good Evening to Dr Nor, Specialists and my colleagues,

First of all, thank you for sparing some of your precious time to attend this dinner. Second of all, thank you also for a good year. I honestly enjoyed my time here in the department despite not liking it in the first place.
I would have loved to dedicate my whole serving years in this department in this hospital, or for at least a few more years.. especially with all the new and exciting things which is happening within our service to SGH. It would be nice to be part of the change we see happening but alas, things happen, plans too have to change as necessary.
I will bring with me the knowledge and experience Ive savoured during my little time here to my new place. I hope to make all of you proud of me, so much so that you wont feel its a waste of time training us from scratch.
Last but not least, I apologize heavily if at anny point I’ve made anyone upset. Also a big sorry for the occasional blur and blonde moments in OT.
So, if ever any of you come to Malacca, do give me a call or just drop a line in FB. Hope to see you guys again.
Thank you.

OK. Lame. i get it.
