“Religion is to do right. It is to love, it is to serve, it is to think, it is to be humble.”

Solat is one of the 5 main pillars of Islam. After prayers, offer a Du’a asking Him for everything of anything that your heart yearns.
“On the authority of Abu al-Abbaas Abdullah ibn Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) who said: One day I was riding behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he said to me, “O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]. Be mindful of Allah and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, ask Allah. If you seek help, seek help in Allah. Know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you except with that which Allah has already recorded for you. If they gather to harm you by something, they would not be able to harm you by anything except what Allah has already recorded against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.” (Recorded in al-Tirmindhi)
2. Read the holy script
I, read the Quran. Even one line of the surah will do although with the advance of technology, ‘no time’ should be of no excuse. If we could download FaceBook application onto our Samsung Galaxy, why not a Quran application that you can read say in the car while waiting for the traffic to clear.
3. Do a good deed
Smile. Donate. Help an old lady to cross the street. Wipe the tears of an orphan. surely, there is a Good Thing that you can sneak into your daily routines.Better still, do it with a friend.
4. Remind others of His existence
On a formal note, some people organize study circles or a speech from the Imam after prayers in the musolla. In a family setting, you can remind your partner or children. Remind then that all success and failures come from Him and each is bestowed upon us for reasons that only He can comprehend.
5.Practice the teachings of the religion daily
Cleanliness, patience, to cover the aurat, perform salat and other things as required by the religion/holy script. Even the simple act of calling up your parents and asking of their wellbeing is a good start.
These should get you on top of the list.
